Reviews for Jin Dal Lae Korean Restaurant
Review highlights
Based on 942 reviewsJin Dal Lae Korean Restaurant is widely praised for its authentic and flavorful Korean cuisine, with standout dishes including the seafood pancake, pork bone stew, fried chicken, and sizzling plates. Customers consistently highlight generous portion sizes and reasonable prices, offering good value for money. The side dishes, while traditional and familiar, complement the main courses well. The restaurant is known for its friendly and attentive service, contributing to an overall positive dining experience. However, limited seating often results in long wait times, especially during peak hours, which is a common drawback noted by patrons. Despite this, many express a strong intention to return, drawn by the quality and authenticity of the food.
I've been here a couple of times and I always order the squid and pork sizzling plate cause it's so delicious. The side dishes are your usual assortment and nothing out of the ordinary. Only downside to this place is there's very limited seating so you will most likely have to wait if you'd like to dine in. Overall great value and food
Amazing small little place! Will be back for sure!Came at 5:10pm on a Sunday. We were 2 people so we were seated fast at the small table in the back, but there was already a small line up for parties greater than 2.They were kind enough to bring out the side dishes shortly after ordering. You have to ask. Side dishes were tasty. We ordered the Fried Chicken Wings with special sauce, shredded beef stew, and the scorched rice with vegetables and seafood. The chicken wings are super crispy, battered well, and sauced nice. It comes with approximately 10 pieces. Amazing value and would get it again! The shredded beef strew was goodThe seafood stew came loaded with muscles, calamari, squid, shrimp, and much more. The soup was thick, and very tasty. The scorched rice was crispy and complementary to the whole stew. Overall would recommend!
If you’re looking for authentic and affordable Korean food. This is the place to be! We got the fried dumplings, shredded beef stew and fried chicken with hot sauce for 40 bucks (5% disc if paid by cash)I ordered the fried chicken with hot sauce but asked them if they can put the sauce on the side just bcause im a messy eater Overall experience was good! Will come back for sure.
Very busy restaurant and I can tell why. The food is really amazing, staff is really polite and friendly and service is fast. The food was so amazing and the portion sizes are huge for how decently priced they are.Loved the seafood pancake the most! And the pork bone stew was amazing! The meat was just falling off the bone! Side dishes were amazing too!
Food:5, service:4, atmosphere:4.5Great food, very fresh and delicious, tasted like homemade. Only thing is the queue is always long and average wait time is 1hr. Pork bone soup came in good portion and tasted homemade! Bibimbap is great as well. Seafood pancake is one of the best I have tried in town which is not over fried and crispy.
We love this little spot. The service was good, and the food was amazing. The seafood pancake was delicious!!! Crispy, and just enough seafood flavour that wasn’t overwhelming…
Jin Dal Lae has a special place in my heart. I lived in the neighbourhood during university and it was one of my go to places when I wanted a nice meal to cheer me up. The seafood pancake and sizzling plates are the highlights for me. The staff are also very nice and gave me a small take away of the potato side dish that I mentioned I love. Highly recommend. It is however quite busy and you should expect a wait on weekends.
Follow @bredgyeats on IG for more food posts! You already know what I'm ordering, pork bone soup. This time packed with some crisp bean sprouts to soak up that savoury broth, with fall apart tender pork bones that have absorbed all the broth. Then, this plate is a magician because it makes your rice disappear. Stir-fried with a salty, addicting gochujang sauce, rendering the squid perfectly tender and the pork irresistibly fragrant with a slight crisp.
